CRISTINA GAVRILŢĂ (born on 13 July, 1971),  professor at Univ. “Al. I. Cuza “, Iasi, Faculty of Philosophy and Social – Political Sciences. Teaches courses of Romanian and universal ethnology, general sociology, deviance and social control sociology. Training courses received in France (1997- scholarship to study at Universite des Sciences et Technologies de Lille; 2003 -2004, doctoral scholarship at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris) and postdoctoral fellowships in Italy. Published studies and articles in local and foreign journals. Author of several books: Social anthropology of the religious phenomenon (2003), Sacred and culture californizare, (2008), Social anthropology of divinatory phenomena, (2008), Sociology of Sport, (2010), The Evreday Sacred (2013), The Original Camera Negative of Our Everyday Reality (2017).Participates and coordinates national and international research and projects on various topics: 2003 – Socio-Professional Reintegration through labor of former prisoners; 2004 –  Labor exploitation of children and adolescents; 2005 – Small Democracy Grants; 2008-2010 – “Gaming Technology for Social Reintegration of Marginalized Youth”;  2009 -2012  – “Children of Prisoners, Interventions & Mitigations to strengthen Mental Health” Cristina Gavriluţă regularly supports a number of mass-media activities (radio, television, press).
