Panos ELIOPOULOS, PhD

Panos Eliopoulos teaches at the Department of Philosophy, in the University of Ioannina, since 2018. He has previously taught in the Universities of Athens, Thessaloniki and Peloponnese in Greece, as well as in the Universities of New York, Bogazici, Perugia, Eastern Connecticut and others. He is a postdoctoral researcher in the Complutense University of Madrid. His main research interests are: Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy, History of Philosophy, Moral and Political Philosophy. He has received the Orlyk Award from the National Dragomanov University of Kiev in 2019. He is also a member of the editorial board and a reviewer for many international journals and editions in Philosophy and in the Humanities. Dr. Eliopoulos has served as the vice president in the International Society for Universal Dialogue and in the Scientific Council of the Academy of Institutions and Cultures. He is the founder and president of the Institute for World Philosophical Research (IWPR). Panos Eliopoulos has authored five monographs and more than ninety articles in Greek and in English.
